The ceremony will take place in central Oxford, where there are a range of hotels and B&Bs. The reception will take place in the village of Binsey, and travel to the reception will be provided. You might want to arrange taxis (or take a lovely 40 minute walk) for the end of the night.

If you would prefer not to stay the night, that’s completely possible! The Oxford Tube, a 24-hour bus service, can take you back to London any time, day or night.

Getting there

Train

Trains to Oxford run either from Paddington (~50 min) or Marylebone Station (~1h 20 min).

Bus

The Oxford Tube, a 24-hour bus service, runs between central or West London (Victoria, Holland Park, Notting Hill Gate) and the centre of Oxford. The journey takes between 1h 40 mins and 2h 30 mins, depending on traffic leaving London.

Driving

Driving to Oxford is straightforward; parking in a small and ancient city is not! If your accommodation doesn’t provide parking on site, then it could be sensible to use Oxford’s Park-and-Ride service, where a free shuttle bus runs to and from large parking lots, just outside the city, on a very regular basis.

There is also a car park called St Clement’s, a short walk over Magdalen Bridge from the chapel, but of course we can’t guarantee that there will be space on the day.

Taxis

Here are some taxi companies in Oxford if you’d like to pre-book (dancing will end at midnight):
